QUEENS, NY, JUNE 12, 2026 — MUJI Tangram is officially open to the public, where the weekend continues with a three-day grand opening celebration featuring exclusive giveaways, community activations, complimentary treats from local vendors, and limited-time promotions. A ribbon cutting ceremony took place prior to the grand opening with participation from MUJI leadership, F&T Group representatives, and local community leaders.

Throughout the weekend, the first 500 customers each day will receive a complimentary MUJI gift bag featuring curated brand favorites and exclusive daily surprises. Guests shopping throughout the weekend will also enjoy special grand opening offers, interactive experiences, complimentary treats from beloved Flushing-based vendors, and exclusive Tangram promotions.

With any purchase of $75 or more, customers will receive an exclusive MUJI Tangram “My Bag” tote featuring a custom illustration inspired by the MUJI x Tangram storefront, along with a gacha token redeemable for a limited-edition MUJI Bag Shaker keychain, available in five collectible designs inspired by signature MUJI products.

On an ongoing basis, MUJI Tangram will introduce distinctive services and in-store experiences designed to further elevate the customer journey, including an expanded offering of the brand’s beloved personalization program, MUJI YOURSELF. Designed to inspire creativity and self-expression, the MUJI YOURSELF bar enables customers to customize apparel, accessories, stationery, and other everyday essentials through embroidery and iron-on patch applications featuring more than 300 designs. MUJI Tangram will be the first store to debut MUJI’s partnership with object sangga, the South Korea-based retail and lifestyle DIY brand recognized for its handcrafted embroidered patches. The collaboration will introduce a new catalog of iron-on patches and exclusive designs to the U.S. market for the first time. In addition, the store will feature MUJI’s signature assortment spanning apparel, stationery, kitchenware, wellness, storage and organization, skincare, travel essentials, and home goods, all thoughtfully curated within an open and welcoming retail environment that reflects MUJI’s minimalist philosophy.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate this opening weekend with the Flushing community and officially introduce MUJI to Queens,” says Richard Rappaport, President of MUJI USA. “From the very beginning, MUJI has been more than just a retail destination. We want to be embedded in the energy and culture that make Tangram and Flushing so special. We look forward to welcoming new and loyal customers, and building lasting relationships within this community through future events and experiences.”

Located in one of the fastest-growing neighborhoods in Queens, Tangram is a two-level, 275,000-square-foot lifestyle destination designed to bring together retail, dining, entertainment, and community under one roof. With the addition of MUJI, Tangram continues to expand its experiential retail offerings while further establishing itself as a premier destination in Queens.

“We are very excited to have MUJI join our tenant roster as the final piece of the Tangram puzzle. We’ve heard the excitement from the community, and we’re proud to know we made the right choice in bringing such a globally recognized and beloved brand to Tangram” says Helen Lee, Principal of F&T Group.
